68: Metallica-localypse Part 2

Not with a bang but a whimper, as they say. While the Metallica story isn't exactly over, most of those with a passing familiarity of the band's 90s and 00s output, the Some Kind of Monster documentary, and the Napster feud, will know the shape of things. What might be surprising, though, is the way, in spite of everything, the magnetic pull of the band's signature sound kept bringing its fans back from the brink, no matter how pale a shadow of their former selves Metallica became. 

This week, our hosts wrap things up with stories of how the band's evolving and changing sound and relevance in culture paired with our own individual stories of evolving, growing, and changing, and what that meant for the way we listened to and appreciated this music. Or didn't.
